The foray into epistolary writing--the usage of letters or journal entries (or in modern times, emails) to tell a story--is going fairly well. It's surprising how easily you can get to the mindset of a character, even when you don't have a lot of that character mapped out.
While searching for more tips on epistolary writing, I've found some sites that really give a better perspective on what appears to be a dying writing tradition. If you're trying to write epistolary writing, hopefully these can give you some pointers.

Wow! Absence!
I've been away from this blog for a long time. It's about time I started using it again.
I've been filling this blog with some filler stuff from my other site in the meanwhile, but I do have some important news to discuss. I've finally figured out how I'm going to tackle this book. I'm writing real-life journals of each of the characters. Basically, I'm role-playing in these journals as each of my characters, a notebook (or however many pages it takes to get to the end of the story) for each character .
It's a little daunting to think of writing journals for 10 people (perhaps a few more!) but I'm going to do it. At the very least, I'll know them much more intimately than I do now. Perhaps I'll put up snippets of my characters' journal entries on the site to pique interest.
Also, I hope to have some pictures done soon, so hopefully I'll be able to fill this blog up with some of my own artwork about the book. All in due time.
